The more that people are motivated to make all of that the priority of human society… by seeing how much making all of that the priority of human society… can benefit themselves/ourselves (along with all other people), the more they/we can be motivated to show other people the benefits which making all of that the priority of human society… can bring those other people, as it motivates those other people to help make these improvements, which therefore benefits themselves (the first people), as it can benefit other people in the most effective ways (which can be part of the most effective way to benefit themselves).  And the more these other people are motivated to make these improvements by seeing how much these improvements can benefit them, the more they are motivated to show more other people in turn the benefits these improvements can bring these more other people, and so on, so that this can become self-generating too, like the benefit it can create…  In order for people find and actualise ways to make it the priority of human society to fight the suffering and injustice and to maximise well-being, happiness and fulfilment for everyone in the most effective ways, people obviously need to have the will, intention and motivation to do this, and this is partly about generating that will, intention and motivation; the only way in which all the necessary solutions are going to be worked out and implemented is obviously if pretty much all people work them out and implement them, and in order for people to do this, they obviously need to have the will, intention and motivation to do this, as well as how people obviously need to have their energy, time, intelligence, imagination and creativity freed up or made available for them to do this, and to have enough resources made available for them to use to do this; this again is also partly about making that space for people to do this, or making space to work out how to make more of that space for all this, as the more space it makes or generates for this, the more awareness and consciousness it raises of how much benefit it can bring for people themselves and everyone, and so the more motivation, will and intention it creates or generates amongst people for them to create more space again for all this amongst more other people, raising awareness in those other people about the benefits it can bring to them and everyone, therefore generating more intention, motivation and will in them to make increasing amounts of space for this, and so on, generating critical masses to multiply itself further, so that again this can become self-generating and self-multiplying, like all the benefit it can bring…

so while it might seem that, according to some of this argument, accumulating and possessing far bigger amounts and more types of resources than people need in order to survive or live means people can therefore benefit themselves more effectively as it means they can do more to help or benefit other people and engage in those other most beneficial ways of living and behaving, still the most effective way to use excess amounts and types of resources (to help or benefit other people…) is to make all of those resources available to others, so that in order to maximise benefit for themselves in the most effective ways, people only need accumulate the amounts and types of resources which they/we need in order to survive or live, which again aren’t significantly different to the amounts and types of resources which people need in order to engage in those most beneficial ways of living and behaving mentioned above, or to the amounts and types of resources which they/we need in order to maximise their/our ability or potential do what can be verified to be necessary to find and implement the most effective ways to fight the suffering and injustice and maximise benefit for people.

 – you (again partly also to ensure all people have that freedom of speech or expression, with egalitarian access to the control of all of those types of influences mentioned above (including mass media and mass education systems), insofar as no one obstructs the same freedoms of anyone else…) also call for all people, and in particular all those people or groups who have the most control over any of those types of influences, to contribute enough to collectively making, in all of human society, enough space(s) for (and social environments which enable) all people to collectively and autonomously verify empirically and rationally (as far as possible) what those most effective ways to collectively fight all the different causes of suffering and injustice in the world and maximise benefit for everyone or each other (and contribute to make that the priority of human society) are in their/our own contexts, as well as what the most effective ways of autonomously and collectively implementing those most effective ways of doing all of that are in their/our own contexts…;

 – you call for all people to collectively ensure (as far as possible) that all people (or each other) have autonomy to empirically and rationally verify (as far as possible) what those most effective ways to collectively fight all the different causes of suffering and injustice in the world and maximise benefit for everyone (or each other), including themselves/ourselves (and make that the priority of human society), are, in their/our own contexts, insofar as no one obstructs anyone else’s autonomy to do the same (acknowledging that, by definition, in order for ways of doing all of that to be the most effective ways of doing all of that in any contexts, those ways need to be ones which don’t cause any suffering and injustice to other person, people or group(s) even instrumentally, or which don’t (even instrumentally) obstruct anyone else from living and behaving in ways that are most conducive to maximising benefit for everyone (including themselves/ourselves) in the most effective ways, insofar as no one (else) even instrumentally causes any suffering and injustice to anyone else…); so you call for all people to collectively ensure (as far as possible) that all people (or each other) have enough power and resources to collectively (and autonomously) find and implement (in those most effective ways in their/our own contexts…) those most effective ways to (collectively) fight all the different causes of suffering and injustice in the world and maximise benefit for everyone (or each other), including themselves/ourselves (and make that the priority of human society), insofar as no one even instrumentally causes any suffering and injustice to anyone else…; and you call for all people to use all the power and resources (as well as all the intelligence, ingenuity, imagination, creativity, skill, talent, time and energy, etc), which they/we have, primarily to collectively find and implement those most effective ways to (collectively) do all of that;

 – you call for all people to acknowledge and act on the possibility that (as so much evidence shows) the most effective ways for all people to maximise well-being, happiness and fulfilment for themselves/ourselves, can be (for many reasons) for all people to do as much as possible to benefit or help other people (or each other) in those most effective ways (without benefiting any person, people or group(s) at the expense or any other person, people or group(s), insofar as no one even instrumentally causes any suffering and injustice to anyone else…), to form the best possible human relationships, community and solidarity (in harmony as far as possible with the natural world (or the rest of it…) as well as each other…), and to collectively fight all the different causes of suffering and injustice in the world, again all in those most effective ways (or to live and behave in ways which are most conducive to doing all of that or to collectively maximising benefit for everyone (or each other) in those most effective ways…); and so you call for all people to therefore harness or channel their/our drives for well-being, happiness and fulfilment to motivate themselves/ourselves to do all of that or to unite in diversity do as much as possible to collectively fight all the different causes of suffering and injustice in the world and maximise benefit for everyone or each other in those most effective ways (and make all of that the priority of human society), taking into account that in order for benefit to be maximised for everyone in the most effective ways, people’s primary intention in benefiting other people possibly can’t be to benefit themselves/ourselves, but possibly always needs to be to benefit other people, with any benefit to themselves/ourselves only being intended to be a secondary by-product…;

 – you call for all people to do as much as possible to collectively verify empirically and rationally (as far as possible) what those most effective ways to collectively fight all the different causes of suffering and injustice in the world and maximise benefit for everyone (and make that the priority of human society) are (and call for all people to fully actualise their/our potentials for reflexivity, rationality, and critical, creative and holistic thinking with each other to do all of that, alongside calling for all people to collectively seek out, be open to, and critically examine/question all the evidence (including evidence about social structural, systemic and behavioural causes of suffering and injustice) that’s necessary for doing all of that (collectively verifying empirically and rationally, as far as possible, how necessary different evidence is for doing all of that in different contexts, as well as verifying the evidence itself like that…), and subsequently to collectively take into account all the evidence that can be verified like that to be necessary to take into account in order to do all of that…), together with calling for all people to do as much as possible to collectively implement those most effective ways…; and you call for all people to collectively ensure (as far as possible) that all people (or each other) have autonomy to find and implement the ways which are those most effective ways of doing all of that in their/our own contexts, insofar as no one obstructs anyone else’s autonomy to do the same (by definition, in order for ways of doing all of that to be the most effective ways of doing all of that in any contexts, those ways need to be ones which don’t cause any suffering and injustice to other person, people or group(s) even instrumentally, or which don’t (even instrumentally) obstruct anyone else from living and behaving in ways that are most conducive to maximising benefit for everyone (including themselves/ourselves) in the most effective ways, insofar as no one (else) even instrumentally causes any suffering and injustice to anyone else…);

 – you call for all people to collectively ensure (as far as possible) that all people (or each other) have enough power and resources to collectively (and autonomously) find and implement (in those most effective ways in their/our own contexts…) those most effective ways to (collectively) fight all the different causes of suffering and injustice in the world and maximise benefit for everyone (or each other), including themselves/ourselves (and make that the priority of human society), insofar as no one even instrumentally causes any suffering and injustice to anyone else…; and you call for all people to use all the power and resources (as well as all the intelligence, ingenuity, imagination, creativity, skill, talent, time and energy, etc), which they/we have, primarily to collectively find and implement those most effective ways to (collectively) do all of that;

such as obtaining and maintaining power over others or privilege over others
(Again, for some explanation of how something like this ‘people unite’ declaration, petition and pledge could be useful in enabling us to (in terms of this analogy) ‘stop whatever or whoever is forcing people into drowning and dying in the river in the first place, further up the river’, please see the ‘home’ page and the ‘some more explanation’ page*).
(for some explanation of how something like this ‘people unite’ declaration, petition and pledge could be useful in facilitating or bringing about all of that necessary ‘specific’ action, please see the ‘home’ page and the ‘some more explanation’ page).
And when those people admit that all of that necessary ‘specific’ action isn’t happening within the current structuring, none of those people who we’ve encountered have suggested any way to make it happen, so that if you know of other ways which could work better than this declaration, petition and pledge, please let us know, as we only want to do what is most effective in fighting suffering and injustice and in maximising benefit for everyone.
In order for enough different ‘specific’ kinds of action to be taken by enough people to tackle enough ‘specific’ causes of suffering (which is another articulation of what this declaration, petition and pledge is calling for), you obviously need to tackle the structural and systemic problems which prevent people from doing this*, and need to make it the priority of human society to fight suffering and injustice and to maximise benefit for everyone in the most effective ways; by definition, making this the priority of human society obviously means all people taking all the necessary specific action to tackle all the different specific causes of suffering and injustice in the most effective ways (which again is obviously part of what this ‘people unite’ declaration, petition and pledge is calling for and aiming to help facilitate*).
And people can potentially find and actualise or implement all the necessary solutions if all human time, energy and resources are freed up or made available for people to do this* (which they obviously aren’t within the current structuring) and if spaces are made within the mainstreams (and all) of human society for people to be able to do this* (which again they obviously aren’t within the current structuring), and something like this ‘people unite’ declaration, petition and pledge could possibly help facilitate all of this*.
(particularly if such ‘specific’ proposals for action don’t deal with all the problems the current structuring*, partly because obviously while only such small numbers of people are able to take enough action to actualise any ‘specific’ proposal to fight all the suffering and injustice and maximise benefit for everyone in the most effective ways… (and because of other problems with the current structuring*), it will be impossible to do that.
; within the current structuring again also not enough of the energy, time, intelligence, ingenuity, imagination, and creativity, etc, which humankind collectively has are made available for humankind to use to do that (and so much suffering and injustice is caused and allowed in many other ways within the current structuring*)

But the situation within the current structuring of human society is actually obviously far worse than that, as the current structuring causes, allows, and partly consists in behaviour which is
Eliminating those problems in the current structuring (which cause and allow so much suffering and injustice in those ways and others), and making it the priority of human society to fight all the different causes of suffering and injustice and to maximise benefit for everyone in the most effective ways (in place of merely fighting some ‘specific’ causes of suffering while allowing other specific causes of suffering to continue)*, will obviously by definition ensure that all people can make all their time, energy, intelligence, ingenuity, imagination, and creativity, etc, and all the resources in the world, available to be used to do that, for themselves and all people, or each other*.  Obviously within the current structuring people are misled or coerced into believing that it’s not possible to change the current structuring to make that the priority of human society (but again obviously all the arguments that it’s not possible to do all of that are arguments which can’t be proven…), and for some explanation about ways in which something like this ‘people unite’ declaration, petition and pledge could be useful in enabling us to deal with and overcome obstacles like that, or other obstacles which might currently obstruct people from doing all of that and making that the priority of human society, please see the ‘home’ page and the ‘some more explanation’ page.
        So if the idea of ‘fighting all the different causes of suffering and injustice in the world and maximising benefit for everyone’ seems ‘vague’ to some people, then it’s necessary to be ‘vague’ in that way, as there’s no excuse not to effectively fight ALL the different causes of suffering and injustice when there are enough resources (including human energy, time, intelligence, imagination, creativity and more) in the world to do this, and when it’s possible to do this if we make this the priority of human society*; till everyone starts taking ideas like these seriously, which currently might sound ‘vague’ to some people, we’ll never get far enough in fighting all the suffering and injustice in the world or in maximising benefit for everyone*; dismissing ideas like these because they might seem too ‘vague’ (to some people), is similar to proposing that:
   – humankind always remains in a situation in which it’s only ever possible to fight some causes of suffering instead of others (while letting other causes of suffering continue), or in which it’s only ever possible for people to help some people (possibly including themselves) instead of others (while letting other people continue to suffer and die),
   – people let the current obscene amounts of suffering and injustice in the world continue.

(by definition, in order for ways of doing all of that in any contexts to be the most effective ways of doing all of that in any contexts, those ways need to be ones which don’t cause any suffering and injustice to other person, people or group(s) even instrumentally, or which don’t even instrumentally obstruct anyone else from living and behaving in ways that are most conducive to maximising benefit for everyone (including themselves/ourselves) in the most effective ways, insofar as no one (else) even instrumentally causes any suffering and injustice to anyone else…);

        So, again, as long as people are only targeting ‘specific’ causes of suffering and injustice in isolation without also changing the current structuring, which causes or allows only such comparatively small amounts of the resources in the world, to be made available within that structuring to be used to fight all the different ‘specific’ causes of suffering and injustice in the most effective ways, and which causes and allows only such comparatively small numbers of people to be able to use enough of their time and energy to fight all the different ‘specific’ causes of suffering and injustice in the most effective ways (and which causes and allows suffering and injustice in so many other ways*), we’ll never get far enough*.
; we obviously NEED to fight ALL the different ‘specific’ causes of suffering and injustice in the most effective ways (even if that sounds vague to some people), and in order to do that we obviously need to change the current structuring to make it the priority of human society to fight all the different causes of suffering and injustice and to maximise benefit for everyone in the most effective ways*; and we potentially CAN fight ALL the different causes of suffering and injustice in the most effective ways if we change the current structuring to make that the priority of human society, as making this the priority of human society
        While those more conventional ‘non-vague’ or ‘specific’ forms of charity work or activism, which target ‘specific’ causes of suffering using those more conventional methods (or which, for example, might petition particular governments to change particular policies, etc), can sometimes be effective in stopping some causes of suffering and injustice in some areas according to some criteria, if we only use those forms of action on their own within the current structuring of human society (without also addressing problems with the current structuring, such as how only such small amounts of people’s time and energy, and such small amounts of the resources in the world, are made available within the current structuring to be used to fight all the different causes of suffering and injustice, etc*), we’ll obviously never get far enough in fighting all the different causes of suffering and injustice or in maximising well-being, happiness and fulfilment for everyone*.  (Something like this ‘people unite’ declaration, petition and pledge obviously isn’t enough on it’s own either, so it aims to work alongside and complement those other forms of action*).

• how much worse human suffering and injustice (and even human extinction, following the extinction of as many as millions of other species), according to peer-reviewed science, will be caused by certain behaviours, systems and structures within the current overall structuring of human society (due to how they are irreversibly destroying the ecosystems and environments which humankind can’t survive without), along with how quickly that far worse human suffering and injustice will be caused, as well as which behaviours, systems and structures within the current overall structuring of human society will cause that far worse human suffering and injustice, and how (unless people can change those behaviours, systems and structures fast enough), and how little time humankind has left to save those ecosystems and environments which humankind can’t survive without (again according to peer-reviewed science);

• how much worse human suffering and injustice (and even human extinction, following the extinction of as many as millions of other species), according to peer-reviewed science, will be caused by certain behaviours, systems and structures within the current overall structuring of human society (due to how they are irreversibly destroying the ecosystems and environments which humankind can’t survive without), along with how quickly that far worse human suffering and injustice will be caused, as well as which behaviours, systems and structures within the current overall structuring of human society will cause that far worse human suffering and injustice, and how (unless people can change those behaviours, systems and structures fast enough), and how little time humankind has left to save those ecosystems and environments which humankind can’t survive without (again according to peer-reviewed science);

(again, by definition, those ways need to be ones which don’t cause any suffering and injustice to any other person, people or group(s) even instrumentally, or which don’t even instrumentally obstruct any other people from living and behaving in ways that are most conducive to maximising benefit for everyone, including themselves/ourselves, in the most effective ways, insofar as no one (else) causes any suffering and injustice even instrumentally to anyone else either…)

And because, obviously to very different extents, all people face some suffering and injustice in their lives, in order for all the different causes of suffering and injustice (which all different people face) to be fought in the most effective ways, obviously all people need to be involved in some way, even if it’s to draw enough attention to the suffering an injustice they are facing, though obviously

And in order for all people to have self-determination and autonomy (insofar as no one obstructs anyone else’s self-determination and autonomy), obviously by definition all people need to be involved.

•
• how

so humankind/we can actually do that

(again calling for all people (and in particular all those people with more power and resources to do all of that) to recognise how doing all of that (including by

 how much worse human suffering and injustice (and even human extinction, following the extinction of as many as millions of other species), will be caused (according to peer-reviewed science) by which behaviours, systems and structures within the current overall social structuring of human society (which are irreversibly destroying the ecosystems and environments which humankind can’t survive without), and how quickly that far worse human suffering and injustice will be caused, unless people can change those behaviours, systems and structures fast enough (or how little time humankind has left to save those ecosystems and environments which humankind can’t survive without);

prioritising things like those mentioned above which are conducive to making it the priority of human society to fight all the different causes of suffering and injustice in the world and to maximise benefit for everyone in the most effective ways) can by definition benefit or help them in so many ways (or in the most effective ways), as is outlined above)

but the fact that so many people within the current and recent structuring of society are and have been misled or coerced into believing that they need to at least instrumentally harm or compete with others in order to maximise benefit for themselves (as is outlined above), is obviously linked with how so many people are and have been misled or coerced within the current and recent structuring of society into believing that consuming far more of the finite amounts resources than they need in order to survive, and which so many other people can’t survive without (including people in future generations)

so that people would obviously be free or able to fully apply their intelligence, ingenuity, imagination and creativity (and their potentials for rationality and reflexivity, and their agency, etc) to doing that, to make enough resources available for doing that, and to make enough of these spaces for people to work out how to do that.

And possibly the more other solutions (which don’t cause any other suffering and injustice, etc) people can work out, implement and actualise, the easier it will be for people to implement more other existing solutions enough, to work out and implement the most effective ways of fighting enough more (if not all**) other causes of suffering and injustice enough, to improve other existing solutions enough where necessary, and to work out and implement more other new, more effective solutions enough where they’re necessary, etc (and the more resources will be made available for that, and the more spaces will be made for that, etc), generally

and it would be useful and beneficial for them to contribute in other ways like those mentioned above to helping facilitate the necessary uniting and mobilisation of enough critical masses of people (or all people?) for that (the type of uniting and mobilisation of enough critical masses of people or possibly all people which again is also probably necessary for it to be possible to get far enough in fighting all the different causes of suffering and injustice and in maximising benefit for everyone, and to make it the priority of human society to do that in the most effective ways, etc), and to helping in the making of enough of these spaces in the mainstreams (or all) of human society for all people to be able to collectively work out exactly how we can do that so we can actually make that happen

And within the current structuring of society, so many people are forced in so many ways into situations in which they aren’t able to do as much as they would like to fight the suffering and injustice in the world or to benefit as many other people as much as they would like**, and if people who want to do more to do that than they are able to within the current structuring, could record or document their intention, will and desire to do more to do that (possibly in a way like signing something like this ‘people unite’ declaration, petition and pledge), then the more people who record their intention, will and desire to do more to do all that, the more power could be given to the ideas to free up people’s time and energy so they can use more of their time and energy to do that, which in turn could also contribute to generating different types of critical masses to shift human society in directions in which enough people or all people can unite (in diversity) to make it the priority of human society to fight all the different causes of suffering and injustice and to maximise benefit for everyone in the most effective ways (so that that intention, will and desire to do more to do all that can have some positive effect in that way too).

FOR ‘SOME MORE EXPLANATION’: It could obviously help humankind get far further in fighting all the different causes of suffering and injustice in the world and in maximising benefit for everyone in the most effective ways, or people would be far more motivated to fight all the suffering and injustice, if people were informed of all this harm (what can empirically and rationally be verified…), and how they could benefit themselves far more effectively if they …, / if all people are informed of all this, and again, in order for all people to be informed of all this, all people need to have freedom of speech and expression, with equal access to these influences, insofar as people don’t obstruct the same freedoms of anyone else.

(Within the current structuring of human society, obviously not everyone has freedom of speech or expression, there definitely isn’t egalitarian access to the control of those influences, and some people definitely obstruct others’ freedom of speech and expression, or silence the voices of so many people, making sure they aren’t heard by enough people (partly because they are misled or coerced into believing …)

how much evidence there is to show that obtaining power over others, and consuming more resources than you need to survive or live and behave in ways which develop better human relationships, community and solidarity (in harmony as far as possible with the natural world as well as each other), to benefit or help other people, or each other (without benefiting some at others’ expense), and to fight the suffering and injustice in the world, in the most effective ways, doesn’t bring you well-being, happiness and fulfilment anywhere nearly as effectively as behaving in those beneficial ways outlined above (or effectively at all), and gets in the way of those behaving and living in those beneficial ways which will benefit you far more effectively

                • how, partly because (as peer-reviewed science shows), if people just consume what they need to live and behave in ways in ways like those outlined which can be the most effective ways for people to maximise well-being, happiness and fulfilment for themselves (and others), there are enough resources in the world for everyone to do that and provide for their needs and to maximise benefit for themselves far more effectively than within the current structuring (and an even bigger human population than there is currently; how many?), in order for any person or group of people to fight any suffering and injustice (which they or others face) or to maximise benefit for themselves in the most effective ways (in the kind of structuring of human society which it’s potentially possible to create), there’s no need for them (any person or group of people) to obstruct any other person or group from doing the same, or to cause cause any suffering and injustice for any other person or group (insofar as no others obstruct (or no one obstructs) anyone else from doing the same), [this is included in what can be verified to be most effective ways? or in what behaviours? or living and behaving in those ways?]

how much evidence there is to show that consuming more resources than you need to survive or live and behave in those beneficial ways outlined above, doesn’t bring you well-being, happiness and fulfilment anywhere nearly as effectively as behaving in those beneficial ways outlined above, and gets in the way of those behaving and living in those beneficial ways which will benefit you far more effectively /

how much evidence there is to show that behaving and living in any ways which are even instrumentally harmful to others (such as consuming more than you need and obtaining power over others)

how there’s so much evidence to show that none of those behaviours which can be empirically and rationally verified to cause suffering and injustice for others at least instrumentally [don’t need including… as this calls for those behaviours to be exposed…] benefit people (who engage in those behaviours) anywhere nearly as effectively as behaving and living in ways like those outlined which are most conducive to fighting the suffering and injustice in the world and maximising benefit for everyone

and in order for any people or group to ensure they or others have self-determination and autonomy insofar as they don’t obstruct anyone else’s autonomy, or to overcome or eliminate any obstructions to their or others’ self determination and autonomy insofar as they don’t obstruct anyone else’s self-determination and autonomy, there’s no need for any people or any group to obstruct anyone else’s self-determination and autonomy

how there’s also so much evidence to show that when people consume more resources than they need in order to survive and to engage in behaviours like those outlined above (which can be the most effective ways for people to maximise benefit for themselves), it doesn’t benefit them anywhere nearly as effectively as behaving and living in ways like those outlined above (and doesn’t benefit them effectively at all), and how it can also be empirically and rationally verified to at least instrumentally cause so much harm in so many ways; how (as peer-reviewed science also shows) there are enough resources in the world for all people to provide for their (and each other’s) needs and for all people to maximise benefit for themselves (and each other) in ways like those which can be most effective, if people just consume what they need in order to survive and to engage in behaviours like those (insofar as no one obstructs anyone else from doing the same)…; and how, partly because of all of that, there’s no need for anyone’s action to fight suffering and injustice which they or others face and to maximise benefit for themselves or others in those most effective ways, to obstruct anyone else’s action to do the same (or how there’s no need for anyone to harm others even instrumentally in order to maximise benefit for themselves in those most effective ways), so how, in the kind of social structuring it’s possible to create, all people’s action to do all of that can potentially contribute to all other people’s action to do the same (insofar as others don’t obstruct any others from doing the same),

and linked with all of that, you call people to also acknowledge and act on the evidence that, partly because of the evidence that when people consume much more resources than they need to survive, it doesn’t benefit them anywhere nearly as effectively as behaving and living in those ways outlined above, doesn’t benefit them effectively at all (as again so much evidence shows), and partly because (as peer-reviewed science also shows) there are enough resources in the world for all people to provide for their needs and to maximise benefit for themselves in the most effective ways (insofar as no one obstructs anyone else from doing the same), all people’s action to fight suffering and injustice (which they or others face) and to maximise benefit for themselves or others in the most effective ways, can contribute to all other people’s action to do the same, or doesn’t need to obstruct anyone else from doing the same, insofar as others don’t obstruct any others from doing the same…;

                linked with what’s outlined above, how when people consume much more resources than they need to survive, it doesn’t benefit them anywhere nearly as effectively as behaving and living in those ways outlined above (and doesn’t benefit them effectively at all; and how, partly because (as peer-reviewed science also shows) there are enough resources in the world for all people to provide for their needs and to maximise benefit for themselves in the most effective ways (insofar as no one obstructs anyone else from doing the same), all people’s action to fight suffering and injustice (which they or others face) and to maximise benefit for themselves or others in the most effective ways, can contribute to all other people’s action to do the same, or doesn’t need to obstruct anyone else from doing the same, insofar as others don’t obstruct any others from doing the same

–   (linked with the call above) you call for all people to acknowledge and act on the evidence that (in the kind of social structuring it’s possible to create), in order for anyone to fight any suffering and injustice which they face or to maximise benefit for themselves in the most effective ways, there’s no need for them to cause any suffering and injustice for anyone else (or there’s no need for them to obstruct any other people from fighting any suffering and injustice (which they (other people) face) in the most effective ways, or to obstruct any other people from maximising benefit for themselves in the most effective ways, insofar as other people also don’t obstruct anyone else from doing any of that)…; you call all people to acknowledge and act on the evidence that if people consume more resources than they need in order to survive, it doesn’t benefit them effectively at all, or anywhere nearly as effectively as behaving or living in ways like those mentioned above, and that, partly because (as peer-reviewed science also shows) there are enough resources in the world to provide for everyone’s needs if people just consume the amounts they need in order to survive (which are therefore enough for people to maximise benefit for themselves in the most effective ways), all people’s action and behaviour to fight any suffering and injustice which they face and to maximise benefit for themselves in the most effective ways can therefore contribute to (not obstruct) all (or any) other people’s action and behaviour to do the same (insofar as no one obstructs anyone else from doing the same)…;

(Alongside so many forms of harm, even people possessing and consuming more resources than they need to survive, when other people don’t have enough resources to survive, can obviously also be seen to be at least instrumentally harming those other people.  And people using time and energy to get more resources for themselves when they already have more resources than they need to survive, or for other people who already have more resources than they need to survive, when other people don’t have enough resources, time and energy to survive, and when this time and energy is needed for action to fight suffering and injustice and to change the systems and structurings which cause it, can be seen to be at least instrumentally harming those other people; people using more time and energy on themselves than they need to in order to get enough resources to survive and to maximise their well-being, in ways which don’t involve benefing others most effectively, as well as behaving in so many other ways which perpetuate this current structuring which allows or makes it possible for these other harmful behaviours to continue, when other people don’t have enough resources, time and energy to survive and when this time and energy is needed to fight suffering and injustice and change the structuring which causes it (and could be used for this), can also be seen to be at least instrumentally harming other people.)

And in order for those barriers mentioned above (which get in the way of all people uniting in diversity to make it the priority of human society to fight all the different causes of suffering and injustice and to maximise benefit for everyone in the most effective ways) to be broken down and overcome, it would obviously be useful and beneficial for people who have the most control over those influences to use those influences to publicise and expose enough to enough (or all) people the evidence like that which is mentioned and outlined above, which could help break down these barriers (as those people obviously have more power within the current structuring of society to publicise and expose all of that enough to enough people, etc)…; and doing that could therefore also be useful and beneficial for ensuring all people have freedom of speech or expression, with egalitarian access to the control of all these controllable influences, insofar as no one obstructs the same freedoms of anyone else.  In order for enough consciousness and awareness to be raised of the evidence mentioned above (such as the evidence that the most effective ways for (all) people to maximise benefit (or well-being, happiness and fulfilment) for themselves/ourselves can be for (all) people to do as much as possible to benefit or help other people, or each other (without benefiting any person, people or group(s) at the expense of any other person, people or group(s), insofar as no others cause (or no one causes) any harm to others even instrumentally), to form better human relationships, community and solidarity (in harmony as far as possible with the natural world as well as each other), and to fight the suffering and injustice in the world, in the most effective ways, or to behave and live in ways which are most conducive to all of that, etc), and in order for that evidence to be publicised and exposed enough to enough people, for enough people to be able to acknowledge and act on it, those people who have the most control over those influences obviously need to participate (enough) in publicising and exposing that evidence enough to enough people, or to prioritise doing that (as again those people obviously have more power within the current structuring of society to do that)…; in order for that evidence (or awareness and consciousness of it) to contribute enough to bringing about the necessary situation where enough people (or all people) have the motivation to unite in diversity to make it the priority of human society to fight all the different causes of suffering and injustice and to maximise benefit for everyone in the most effective ways (for it to be possible to make that happen), and in order for it to contribute enough to helping facilitate and lay the foundations for the necessary uniting in diversity and mobilisation of enough critical masses of people (or all people) to make that the priority of human society, as well as in order for that it to contribute enough to helping facilitate or lay the foundations for the necessary making of enough spaces in the mainstreams of (or all of) human society for all people to be able to collectively work out exactly how we can make that the priority of human society, again those people who have the most control over those influences obviously need to participate (enough) in publicising and exposing that evidence enough to enough people (or to prioritise doing that).  Linked with that, in order for enough people (or all people?) to be able to show, confirm, or declare to each other how they agree it the priority of human society to fight all the different causes of suffering and injustice and to maximise well-being, happiness and fulfilment for everyone in the most effective ways, for that to contribute enough to making doing all of that (making all of that the priority of human society) seem more possible, etc, again obviously people who have most control over those influences need to participate (enough) in facilitating that; and in order for that in turn to contribute enough to helping facilitate the necessary uniting in diversity and mobilisation of enough critical masses of people (or all people?) for all that, and to contribute enough to helping in the making of enough spaces in the mainstreams of (or all of) human society for all people to be able to collectively work out exactly how we can do that, again those people who have the most control over those influences obviously need to participate (enough) in publicising and exposing that enough to enough people (or to prioritise doing that).  And in order for all the other things which this ‘people unite’ declaration, petition and pledge calls for all people to publicise and expose enough to enough people (in order to ensure all people to have freedom of speech or expression (with egalitarian access to the control of all of those controllable influences, insofar as no one obstructs the same freedoms of anyone else), and in order to motivate all people to make it the priority of human society to fight all the different causes of suffering and injustice and to maximise benefit for everyone in the most effective ways, etc), to have enough effect too (in ways like those outlined above), those people who have the most control over those influences obviously also need to participate (enough) in publicising and exposing those things as well enough to enough people.

Obviously there are other complications and aspects of the current situation within the current structuring which don’t fit neatly into that analogy

… no one specific proposal can solve all the problems, and while only such small numbers of people,,, it won’t be effective anyway, and also all people need self-determination and autonomy insofar as…

Within the current structuring (within which again only such small amounts of people’s time and energy and the resources in the world are made available to people for them to be able to fight the suffering and injustice for themselves and others in the most effective ways), you can be faced with the impossible decision of which causes of suffering and injustice you fight, and which ones you allow to continue (or the impossible decision of which people you help, and which people you allow to suffer and die), but again as there are enough resources in the world to provide for everyone’s needs and to effectively fight all the different causes of suffering and injustice, so there should be no reason or need for you or others to have to decide which people to help INSTEAD of others, or which causes of suffering and injustice to fight INSTEAD of others (partly because there should be no reason for anyone not to have the resources they need in order to provide for all their needs and therefore to maximise their well-being, happiness and fulfilment*) ; people could also have time and energy to effectively fight all the different causes of suffering and injustice for themselves and others in other possible structurings, so there should be no reason why people can’t effectively fight all the different causes of suffering and injustice for themselves and others and to help all people in need (including themselves), in other possible structurings

  ,,, are obviously complex and taken for granted, seem natural, and unchangeable…

and till we are explicitally trying to fight ALL the causes of suffering and injustice (and taking these ‘vague’ things seriously) we’ll never get far enough

 specific petitions are asking people to prioritise fighting one cause of suffering over others, or to fight that cause of suffering instead of others (or to use their time and energy and the resources under their control, and you are using you’re time and energy           (The same obviously applies if you or others are using time, energy and resources to petition people in positions of power to use their time and energy or the resources under their control to target a particular cause of suffering and injustice

 and what progress has been made along some narrow spectrums and criteria is all threatened by and will be destroyed by the irreversible …

while some things are improving in some ways in some areas according to some criteria,  … and all this can only be very short-lived or temporary, as it is dependant on processes which are completely unsustainable and are irrreversibly destroying all the resources which this is dependent on and all this is threatened / will be destroyed by ecocide

people sometimes assume that people involved in this don’t know or understand how ‘it’ works or how the world works, but the point is that the way the world currently ‘works’ is the problems that needs to be changed…

amazing intelligence, imagination and creativity that people have… this might not work, but till pretty much all people start taking things like this seriously we’ll never get far enough…,

if you have better ideas, please let us know, as we only want to be helping as much as possible…

have never encountered anyone who criticises this who actually offers any better alternative (that adequately addresses or deals with the issues and problems this raises as ones which need to be overcome, and whose argument doesn’t boil down to ‘it’s impossible and it’s not worth trying’ – and that’s part of the point of this, that people are coerced into believing it’s impossible

specific proposals,, no one solution would work for everyone, and would take too long to articulate all the necessary action in all contexts, and that would deny others’ autonomy, and we can’t know for sure exactly what courses of action will be most effective (though some more likely),, obviously have our own ideas and proposals, but no work for everyone…
